I forgot just when it was…maybe Monday? Or it could of been over the weekend…Sunday? Anyway…one thing my kids like to do when we’re just hanging out, is go to youtube, and do like the music trivia, or guess the disney movie/ guess the kids tv show…by the theme song or whatever.
Well, we were taking a Disney quiz, and in the sidebar, there was a link to a ‘Big Comfy Couch’ video. I had completely forgot about that show, but then I was all like ‘omfg! W. used to *loooooove* that show when he was younger!’ And that’s the truth. I had to buy it for him on VHS so he could watch it when it wasn’t on tv. ((Cause you guys probably remember that not too long ago kids’ tv shows were only on at a certain time of the day. I mean, now, there’s channels that play kids tv shows 24-7…Something that, when Mac and I were at my parents house last February, kept Mac up till 11:00pm sometimes. :\ Thanks to whoever thought *that* was a good idea? ))
So, instead of W. getting all ‘hells no. I never watched that’, he was like ‘omg! Yeah! I remember that show!’
Well, I can’t really recall the girls ever watching it, but Monday, the girls hopped on the PS3, and went to youtube…It’s been nothing but ‘Big Comfy Couch’ since then. I mean, yesterday alone, when me, Mike and Mac got home from grocery shopping ((early! we were home by 11:30 rather than 2pm…which is our usual time)) Mac asked if she could use my computer…she watched more ‘Big Comfy Couch’…then, the kids came home at 2:30…and all the girls watched it till I called them out to dinner…at like 5pm! Now, it’s 8:53am, and Mac is watching it again. Since she can’t read yet, I have to type the search in for her, but once you’re on youtube, just give her the controller, and she can take care of the rest all by herself.
Thank god I don’t mind the show too much…There were so many shows that W. used to watch when he was younger, most of which my girls have never seen…but I think the one that he watched that I just could *not* stomach, was one called ‘The Noddy Shop’. At the time, I was working full time, so I didn’t have to watch it much…Since I lived with my parents then, he’d watch it with my Mum. She didn’t mind that show. o_O I’m not going to tell the girls about *that* show. I value the sanity I have.
W. has basketball practice today, and afterwards, G. has a game. Mike and I are both wondering if the game will be postponed, because we’re supposed to get snow starting this afternoon, amounting to 8-10 inches. We’ll see. It’s back to work for me today, too 
At least, I assume I’m going in: I haven’t been told otherwise.
I also had a thought this morning…actually, it was more of a ‘hey! I should try that, just for the hell of it’. I remembered that I have a spare laptop battery…but I’m not sure how good it is. I mean, it can only be as lousy as the one I’ve been using. ((When my laptop comes on, I get a black screen w/blue text saying that my battery is shit and should be replaced…blah blah blah. If my computer isn’t plugged in, I get about…oh, a minute and a half before my computer will just shut off. No warning, no nothing.)) Well, I switched to the other one this morning, and I had to restart cause of some Windows updates, and when my computer came on, I didn’t get that ‘you have a shit battery’ screen. So I’m charging it now ((and while it *is* charging, occasionally, it will say ‘plugged in, not charging’. I just want to know if I can get it to fully charge ((unless this is the battery I tried over the summer that always gets to like 86% charged and then won’t charge beyond that…which is entirely possible.)) and see how long that charge lasts.
My domain, www.jessicarhoades.net, is due to expire on the 22nd. Not sure if I’ll get that taken care of before expiration…sucks, but I can’t do anything about it. I was trying to see if after it expires, I can renew it with my current provider people, but their knowledge base is like, not working. No matter what I click on, I get this really unhelpful ‘Page Not Found’. wth is that? Ugh. Well, it’s not a wicked priority to me right now.
Last nite, just after we’d finished dinner, the phone rang. I figured it was either one of W.’s friends wanting to see if he could play Black Ops online, or it was my Mum.
It was my Mum. Her voice sounded *off*, and she started off with ‘hi…’ which is normal, but it didn’t seem right…Then she said ‘I called cause Kim is sad…Stimpy is dying’. o_O what?? Unexpectedly and out of the blue…((Stimpy was one of my kittens like 4 or so years ago when we lived over on George St.)) We were only on the phone for a few minutes, and then she said bye… Afterwards, the kids were doing dishes and I was folding some laundry when W. asked if when they were done with the dishes if we could play Monopoly. I said sure, cause it’s been a little while since we’ve played. We had been playing for about 20 minutes or so when the phone rang again. I knew it was my Mum, and I was hoping she was going to say ‘nevermind. She’s fine, I don’t know what that was all about…’ but that wasn’t the case. ‘She’s gone’, my Mum said. 
RIP, Stimpy.
I know how she feels. I 100% know. Summer of 2010, I lost Fiona. ((and Marlin, too…)) Fiona was my baby, just under a month away from turning 5. Then, this past summer ((August 2011)) when we got back from MA, a week after we got back…My Mimzy went out and I never saw her again. ((She was just shy of turning 5 as well…)) She’s was Fiona’s daughter, from Fiona’s first litter ever… After losing them, I’ve really not gotten attached the same way to my other cats…I mean, Spaceball is still here and she’s still one of my loves, and since Hammie came into the house in September, that little guy has stolen my heart. I sometimes think he’s channeling Fiona & Mimzy, the way he acts sometimes. I love him for it, and miss my two girls so bad. Fiona, and her big green eyes, always wanting to be where you were and that way she always knew when you had a can of whipped cream…And after she was spayed, she gained all that weight, and even as big as she was, she would still climb up your leg to get that whipped cream…Or when she was younger, she would sit in the palm of my hands and I’d lift her up over my head, so she could reach the rubber worms the kids would fling at the ceiling for her to grab…Or Mimzy, and the way she’d just stare at me and I’d put my face close to hers and she’d put her head down so I could kiss the top of her head…and she’d do that over, and over and over…she didn’t drink water out of a bowl either. She would only drink it straight from the tap, and damn it, she’d let you know when she wanted it. She’d follow me, or just give me this certain look, and I’d say to her ‘Do you want water?’ or ‘Are you thirsty?’ and she’d meow at me and jump up on the sink… *sigh*

Now I forgot what else I was going to say…It might of been about coffee, but I’m not sure. Oh well, I’m gonna go make some anyway. I remembered yesterday to pick up some Hazelnut…Yes, that was something I’m sure everyone was wondering :\
I’ll end on that note…I wanna straighten up the house a bit before work, ‘specially if they do have their basketball game tonite, because then, I won’t be home till ’round 7pm, and I’ll have to make dinner, and I won’t want to be cleaning the house then…
